Discover the Power of AI: A Quick Overview of ChatGPT and Real-World Examples of Its Capabilities

by Laurence Tuck

I asked the AI to “Write me a 300 word blog article on AI and how it can help business”. I sat and watched the AI write this word for word in well written, concise and informative fashion.

I mentioned ChatGPT earlier and thought I would show you some of its abilities. OpenAI have ‘trained’ a conversational AI Language model to answer questions and have a dialogue with the user. This of course is incredible in itself, but the AI also has access to ton of information and can do some interesting things. My first question was obviously “How can I use the tool to help my customers?”. Its all fine and well having powerful tools, but putting them to work in a practical sense could save time.

So this is what I did.

The previous post I shared was entirely written by AI. I created the article in 10 minutes and posted and shared it. Here is a link to the article: https://editme.co.za/blog/how-ai-can-transform-your-business-the-benefits-and-opportunities-of-artificial-intelligence/

I asked the AI to “Write me a 300 word blog article on AI and how it can help business”. I sat and watched the AI write this word for word in well written, concise and informative fashion.

Then, stunned by the result, I asked it to “Write me an seo title for the article”. I wondered what would happen? Does the AI have a memory of some sort? And to my surprise it did! The result is the title I used on the blog article. I also used the AI to improve the title of this article from “Exploring AI, a quick overview of ChatGPT and a real world example of its abilities” to “Discover the Power of AI: A Comprehensive Guide to ChatGPT and Real-World Examples of Its Capabilities”. Interesting to see the emphasis on “the power of AI” and also its camel case titles.

All articles need an image so I asked the AI to find me an image but it responded with a message about that not being its main function and that it was unable to browse the internet or create visual content/ It is a language model after all so all goo, but I still need an image… so I asked it for a suggestion! The AI politely explained to me what the best image to use would be and then gave me additional options; read this response from the AI:

“It would be best to use an image that is relevant to the topic of the article and visually appealing to the reader. For an article about AI and its benefits for businesses, a good option could be an image of a person using a computer or other technology to analyze data or make a decision. Another option could be a photo of a group of people collaborating and using technology to solve a problem. The key is to choose an image that accurately represents the content of the article and captures the attention of the reader.”

I searched a free no-attribution website for “data analytics” and found a cool image for the blog. Done. I finished off the article with a question to prompt users to consider the points in the article or possibly comment in the platform they are on.

Used correctly, tools like this could save a lot of time in researching content topics and producing content. What I would really like to see is AI take instructions and learn from the process while it develops the perfect content strategy for my keyword targets. You can guess what I will be doing all weekend! Take a look at ChatGPT or search google for “AI chat bot”. Apps such as Replika offer AI companions that you can create, teach and even build a relationship with! Ask AI to write you a song or a poem to get started ;-)

Its finally starting to feel like the space age, join me on this journey into the next big thing since Facebook while I develop products and services to automate, optimise and improve websites, social media marketing and business processes.
